FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many files can I process at once?

Pro users can process up to 10 images in a single batch. Free users can process 1 image at a time using the standard tool.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All stripping happens entirely in your browser. Your images are never sent to any server. StripShot has zero access to your files.

Does batch processing reduce image quality?

No. Batch processing uses the same binary-level stripping engine as the single-image tool. Images are never re-encoded. Pixels stay identical, PNG transparency is preserved.

What metadata does batch mode remove?

Batch mode removes all EXIF, XMP, IPTC, C2PA Content Credentials, GPS coordinates, AI generation signatures, and PNG text chunks. Every metadata type the single-image tool handles, batch handles too.

Why does the tool process files sequentially?

Sequential processing keeps memory usage low in the browser. Processing 10 large images simultaneously could cause crashes or slowdowns. One-at-a-time is faster in practice.

Can I download all stripped images at once?

Each file has its own download button that appears after processing. You download them individually. Each file gets a randomized filename with no connection to the original.
