How it works
Everything runs in your browser. Your images never leave your device.
01
Drop your image
Drag and drop or click to browse. JPEG, PNG, and WebP supported. Up to 50 MB per file. Drop multiple files to use batch mode.
02
Review what's inside
StripShot scans the file instantly. AI signatures, C2PA credentials, GPS coordinates, EXIF data, and software strings are all identified before you strip.
03
Strip and download
Click Strip Metadata. All metadata is removed at the binary level. Zero quality loss. Your image downloads with a randomized filename, clean and ready to post.
Post unlimited AI images. No label. No limits.
14-day free trial. $9/mo after. Cancel anytime.
Camera & device data
Model, lens, serial numbers, exposure settings, ISO, focal length, flash.
Location metadata
Exact coordinates, altitude, speed, and location names embedded by your phone.
Adobe & software history
Edit history, creator tool, processing software, copyright fields, keywords.
AI provenance credentials
The JUMBF block that triggers Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn AI labels.
AI tool signatures
Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Firefly, Flux, and 47+ other generators.
PNG info chunks
tEXt, iTXt, and zTXt chunks used by Stable Diffusion. Transparency is preserved.
Pro features
100% private by design
All processing happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your images are never uploaded to any server. StripShot has zero access to your files. No logs, no storage, no exceptions.
Zero quality loss, guaranteed
Most tools re-encode your image through a canvas element, quietly degrading quality. StripShot operates at the binary level, removing only metadata bytes. The pixel data is never touched. Output is bit-for-bit identical to input, minus the metadata.
What AI tools does StripShot detect?
Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion (A1111, ComfyUI), Adobe Firefly, Flux, Leonardo AI, NovelAI, Replicate-hosted models, and 40+ others. Detection is based on known metadata signatures embedded in each tool's output.
Will stripping metadata remove the Instagram AI label?
Yes, for tools that embed C2PA credentials (Adobe Firefly, DALL-E/ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot). StripShot removes the JUMBF block that triggers the label. Midjourney and Stable Diffusion don't embed C2PA, so their images don't trigger the label in the first place.
What is anti-fingerprint mode?
Every image has an invisible ID that platforms use to recognize it, even after you strip the metadata. Anti-fingerprint mode makes a handful of tiny pixel changes (invisible to your eye) that scramble that ID so Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok see it as a completely new image.
Does batch mode count as multiple strips?
Yes. Each image in a batch counts as one strip toward your daily limit. Pro users get unlimited strips, so batch mode is most useful at that tier.
What formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, and WebP. PNG files preserve transparency. We don't convert formats unless you choose JPG export on download. RAW files (CR2, NEF, ARW) are not currently supported.
Still on free?
Batch mode, anti-fingerprint, EXIF editor, 10 video strips/day. 14 days free.
