Most metadata-remover pages will not tell you this, so we will. Google embeds SynthID, an invisible watermark, into the pixels of every Imagen, Gemini, and Veo image. It is not metadata. It is designed to survive cropping, compression, and screenshots, and no metadata tool, StripShot included, can remove it without destroying the image.
What StripShot removes is the C2PA and IPTC metadata that platforms read for AI labels. That is genuinely useful, but if a platform checks for SynthID, metadata removal alone will not change its verdict. We would rather tell you the truth than sell you a false promise.
