StripShot detects and removes generation data from every major AI image tool.
OpenAI signatures, generation IDs, prompt metadata
Prompt, seed, model version, aspect ratio in EXIF Description and Comment
Full prompt, negative prompt, seed, CFG scale, sampler, steps, model hash (SD, ComfyUI, Automatic1111, Forge, InvokeAI)
C2PA Content Credentials (JUMBF in JPEG APP11), XMP ai:version, ai:tool fields
Generation parameters, model identifiers, workflow metadata
Platform signatures, generation IDs, model identifiers
Office metadata, AI generation markers, copyright fields
JUMBF boxes in JPEG. caBX, caMs, caSt chunks in PNG. Triggers Instagram and Facebook 'Made with AI' labels.
Most AI metadata removers load your image into an HTML5 canvas, then export it as a new JPEG. This is re-encoding. It degrades quality, destroys PNG transparency, changes file size, and can make a clean copy impossible to prove as original.
StripShot never decodes your image. It reads the raw binary stream, identifies metadata segments by their byte markers (JPEG APP1, APP11, APP13, PNG tEXt/iTXt/zTXt chunks), removes them, and writes the cleaned file. The pixel data passes through untouched.
The result: zero quality loss. Your output is bit-for-bit identical to the original, minus the AI metadata.

Canvas re-encoding tools
An AI metadata remover strips AI generation tags, C2PA Content Credentials, and platform signatures from images. These are the embedded markers that tell Instagram, Pinterest, and other platforms an image was AI-generated.
AI tools like DALL-E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and Adobe Firefly embed generation data into every image they create. Platforms read this data to label images as 'Made with AI'. Removing it prevents automatic labeling before you post.
Both. StripShot removes EXIF, XMP, IPTC, C2PA Content Credentials, and AI generator-specific signatures. It specifically targets the JUMBF boxes that trigger 'Made with AI' labels and the PNG text chunks where Stable Diffusion stores prompt data.
No. StripShot operates at the binary level. It removes metadata bytes without decoding or re-encoding your image. The pixel data is bit-for-bit identical to the original.
Yes. Instagram reads C2PA Content Credentials to apply the 'Made with AI' label. StripShot removes C2PA JUMBF data at the binary level before you upload, preventing the label from appearing.
